This Project Management tool is used to plan, manage and track projects and is compatible with the widely used Microsoft Project. It also provides various views for users to organize and manage the organizations' objectives through a Structured Design Process (SDP). This tool helps the project manager to define the problem, designs and plan alternative solutions, evaluates and prioritizes the alternative solutions to select the most favorable solution and then helps to execute the action plan with the help of the staff.

  2. The blog entry on Seavus ProjectViewer states the product can be used to plan projects.

Usually the definition of planning projects means to record the project attributes in project planning software, such as Microsoft(r) Project. The blog entry might clearly define what is meant by plan if it is not the same as this usual meaning.

The Seavus ProjectViewer is capable of viewing Microsoft(r) Project plans but not capable of creating plans by the usual definition. The statement that Seavus ProjectViewer my be used to plan projects might be incorrectly interpreted or it could be said that it is incorrect; at least given the definition that planning projects means the capturing of plan attributes in software.

  3. By "the Seavus ProjectViewer can be used to plan projects" .... I meant the information from ProjectViewer can be used to plan the project. Project Management tools simply help the Project Managers to carefully determine how to plan the projects’ scope, time, cost, risk, quality, process improvement and procurement procedures. The projects’ objectives are refined into action items then entered into these applications. Each deliverable and the associated work required to complete those deliverables is executed by the Project Manager, and not the application.
